SIZING YOUR LINER
Take the pond depth (in feet, the average is 1 1/2 feet )
double it, and add two feet for overlaps. Add this sum to
the maximum width and length of your pond. This will give
you the minimum size of pond liner material you will need
for your pond.
The biggest mistake in ordering a pond liner is ordering
one that is too short. Make sure your measurements include
the depth on both sides, and ledges, and enough to go under
the perimeter rocks (3 - 4 ft on each side), or into
an anchor trench.
Pond Depth _____ x 2 = _____
Pond Width + Pond Depth = _____ (Width)
Pond Length + Pond Depth = _____ (Length)
Pond Liner Size = Width x Length
